plating

In the electroplating industry, sodium saccharin is very useful as an additive for metalworking fluids and adhesives. For example, nickel plating uses saccharin as an electrolyte (a substance that is dissolved in a solution to make it conductive). Electroplating is the process of applying an electric current through a solution to another layer of metal on the metal surface. The use of sodium saccharin in the nickel plating industry will bring a brighter finish. Gold and palladium plating baths also use sodium saccharin.
